12thAsian Petanque Championship Rusults

Last week the 12TH Asian Petanque Championships,were played in Kaohsiung Taiwan from Nov.2nd -6th. This was the first time Taiwan held a international play in petanque. It was a very good tournament. It was promoted as a warm up to The 2009 World Games being held in Kaohsuing Taiwan in July 2009. So due to that fact it was promoted that way it was hard for people who were looking for info on the web before the tournament. So here is the results of the tournament

Today I got the chance to play a little on the new courts for the Asian world championships in November and The World Games in July 2009 benign held in Kaohsiung Taiwan.The surface is very hard dirt and clay with a dusting of very large gravel.
when shooting the ball stops dead where it lands , and leaves very large divot's in the gravel. When pointing the ball stops dead as well, there is a lot of friction on the surface

On Sunday August 31st Hong Kong Petanque will be having a training session, it will take place on Lama Island in HK. So if any one is interested in going let me know as I'm planing on going my self

The 12th Asian Petanque Championship will be held on November 3rd to 6th in the southern port city of Kaohsuing Taiwan in Jenai Park along the banks of Kaohsuing's Love River. This event is a warm up to The World Games 2009 in Kaohsuing Taiwan.

Yes petanque fans it was another great Bastille day in Brooklyn

Bar Tabac hosted the tournament again with 80 Red teams and 80 Blue teams

there was plenty good food and music, and great weather.But at the last matches the rain came so I'll let you know the out come at a later Post.
